The West Jefferson Trail Project, Trenton’s link to the Downriver Linked Greenways and Michigan’s Iron Belle Trail is complete and was officially dedicated in June 2019! The project included the development and installation of a 10ft. wide, 5,000 ft. long asphalt trail connecting the International Wildlife Refuge to Grosse Ile Parkway and Elizabeth Park.
This project was made possible through the City of Trenton and multiple partners including the U.S. Department of Transportation Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds, Wayne County Parks, Eastman, DTE Energy Foundation and Downriver Linked Greenways. Enjoy the trail!
